Nick’s dad, Marc Schultz, who is an avid golfer would love for you to join him for a BEAUTIFUL morning of golf, camaraderie and breathtaking views. We are still trying to decide where the golf scramble will be because there are many factors such as availability and pricing. The courses that we are currently looking at are Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course which is ranked the #7 course in the U.S. by Golf World Magazine, and Champion Hill and Pinecroft which are distinguished by their scenic, open, rolling, heather lined fairways, large contoured greens and distant views of Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, and Platte Lakes. Marc will be contacting those of you who RSVP with interest in golfing to make final plans. Expert or novice golfer, you will not regret this experience!

There are many, many wonderful places to find a great meal in the Arcadia, Elberta and Frankfort areas. We want you to explore the local cuisine and watering holes. Please check out our Local Info page for lots of suggestions!

After everyone gets to explore and find a great place for lunch, we will be hosting activities at and around Harbor Lights Resort. For those of you who would like to explore the area a little more, we’ll also be available as your tour guides to give you excursion suggestions. We may even provide a scavenger hunt for you if you’re interested, just let us know! Check out our Proposal page for a better idea of what i’m talking about.

Harbor Lights has a large sandy beach area available for our whole party. There are beach volleyball courts, an indoor pool and spa, picnic area with grills and picnic tables, and of course, swimming in Lake Michigan. All of downtown Frankfort is within walking distance from the resort!

If you’re looking for a less conventional way to get around, check out Pedal Perfection! We have many stories we can tell you about these multiple-passenger bikes and surreys. Like the time when 8 of us happily embarrassed ourselves on an hour long ride around the bay. We definitely recommend it!

We will provide a casual dinner and snacks after the afternoon festivities are over. We still have to decide if we’re going to BBQ, get pizzas or a number of other ideas. In the evening, we hope to board a sunset cruise with Sleeping Bear Dunes Boat Cruises on Lake Michigan. Tickets will be available for less than $33 per person if you choose to join us. We are currently negotiating rates to get everyone the best deal possible. Since I “won” a ring instead of a sunset cruise on Nick’s infamous proposal scavenger hunt, we plan to make this the final chapter of Nick’s proposal, and our engagement!

Saturday is going to be our wedding day!! Join us in Frankfort, on the beach at Harbor Lights Resort for our wedding ceremony. Rain or shine, we will be on the sand, listening to the waves and enjoying one of our very favorite places on earth together. Please make yourself comfortable; this is a shoes-optional celebration! We imagine everyone in resort casual attire as if you’ll be playing croquet on the lawn in The Great Gatsby.

After the ceremony, we will provide shuttles to our reception at the Elberta Life Saving Station. If you are not able to make it to our ceremony, or even if you are not staying at Harbor Lights Resort, you are still welcome to park at the resort and take the shuttle. We want you to have as few responsibilites as possible, and driving is one of them. Please join us for our carefree celebration!

We love Sunday Brunch!! Join us back at the Elberta Life Saving Station for a send-off brunch. We would love to say goodbye to each of you and thank you in person for making our celebration so special!

We will be providing a casual buffet, so come hungry before or after you pack up to head home.  The brunch is at the same location as the wedding reception.  Hope to see you there!
